Introduction
Day 1: Marrakech → High Atlas Mountains → Aït Benhaddou
• Start in Marrakech
• Cross the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260m) in the High Atlas Mountains
• Visit Telouet Kasbah (optional)
• Explore the UNESCO site Aït Benhaddou, a beautiful ksar (fortified village)
• Overnight: Aït Benhaddou or nearby Ouarzazate

Day 2: Aït Benhaddou → Dades or Todra Gorges
• Drive through the Valley of the Roses and Skoura Oasis
• Explore Dades Gorges (amazing rock formations) or Todra Gorges (great for light hiking or climbing)
• Overnight: Dades or Todra area (depending on pace)

Day 3: Gorges → Merzouga (Sahara Desert)
• Continue towards Erfoud and Rissani, then on to Merzouga
• Arrive at the Erg Chebbi dunes (towering sand dunes)
• Take a camel trek into the desert for sunset
• Sleep in a Berber desert camp under the stars

Day 4: Merzouga → Marrakech (long drive)
• Wake early for sunrise over the dunes
• Optional quick stop in Rissani market or fossil workshops in Erfoud
• Drive back to Marrakech (can take 8–10 hours, so start early)
